In 1984, Lincoln Trucking was founded out of one bedroom apartment and started strictly as a truck brokerage. The mission of Lincoln Trucking, which was inspired by legendary Nebraska Cornhusker football player, Tom ‘Train Wreck’ Novak.
Since its inception, Lincoln Trucking has grown to include its own fleet of trucks and trailers, a 50,000 square foot warehouse, and a host of services that make our customers continue to return to us time and time again.

Our partnerships help us to grow
Always looking for ways to serve you better, Lincoln Trucking acquired several existing businesses in order to expand our service offering. After acquiring Salem Transport, we’re now able to offer our Lightening Division of refrigerated transport vehicles and affordable LTL services, thanks to our partnership with RR Donnelley’s DLS Worldwide.
Lincoln Trucking added our truckload division in 1991, which consists of both reefers and dry vans. With a fleet of over 60+ power units, we’re able to serve our customers with the same conveniences as the large carriers. Unlike our corporate competition, though, we’re able to provide our customers with personalized customer service and one-on-one support that the big guys just can’t.
By coordinating outbound and inbound shipments, ensuring that your products move seamlessly from all points in your supply chain, Lincoln Trucking is able to eliminate the need for traditional warehousing. If your supply chain requires that your products be shipped to multiple locations or you need to consolidate products from multiple locations, cross-docking services can help your business achieve the desired direct to store deliveries and bypass the distribution center.
When your shipment doesn’t require an entire trailer, you can purchase a portion of the space. Just tell us how much space you need, then we’ll sell the rest of the trailer to other shippers that are headed in the same direction. Then, once we have that trailer filled, you’ll be on your way at a fraction of the cost of a full trailer.
Lincoln Trucking offers guaranteed services, backed by our commitment to providing our customers with timely and reliable services. Partnered with DLS Worldwide, we’re able to offer LTL shipments at a drastic discount.
FTL stands for Full Truckload. A shipment that is over 10,000lb or takes up an entire truck by
itself is considered Full Truckload. One of the main characteristic of an FTL Services is that it
will take your shipment on a long haul, making one trip from point A to Point B without transferring
the cargo.
LTL stands for Less Than Truckload. If you have 200 pounds of freight to transport, you’ve got an LTL
shipment. It takes just a section of the truck and the cargo is safely consolidated with other shipments
that may be picked up and distributed in the same area.
Adjustments can be costly, but can mostly be avoided with accurate information.
Common adjustments occur around oversized items (more than 12 feet in length), lift-gates,
limited delivery access, residential fees, reclassifications and changes to the bill of lading.
