OUR STORY
Missouri River Trucking and Excavating owner, Joe Horner, Jr., has operated this 40 year old family-owned business since 1989. Back then, the equipment consisted of little more than a backhoe and a dump truck. But over the past 20 years MRTE Inc has grown into a more robust company with an inventory of over a 100 pieces of equipment, ranging from dozers to excavators and everything in between.

In addition to our fleet of heavy equipment, MRTE Inc maintains a truck fleet of more than 20 semis, side dumps, belly-dumps, end-dumps, concrete mixer trucks, and lowboys. This ensures that all material and equipment arrive at the jobsite on time, every time.

SAFETY
MRTE Inc prides itself on creating a safe work environment for all employees. We believe that a safe jobsite begins with a safe and knowledgeable staff. A comprehensive safety manual governs all of our employees, including specific safety procedures for various job duties.

Operators and laborers receive safety training through our company training program. In addition, MRTE Inc requires all employees to complete our in-house safety program, which includes CPR training, and attend an 8-hour Mine Safety Class (MSHA) each year.
