About K & K Trucking, Inc
K & K Trucking, Inc. is a Montana based firm celebrating over thirty six years of service. Founded in March of 1979 by Arly Koetitz, K & K began with a single truck hauling produce from California to Canada. We have steadily grown to our current fleet of over 25 Kenworth tractors, and 35 refrigerated, 53-foot air-ride trailers with Thermo-King units.

As its founder, Arly had a lifetime history of working within the trucking industry. In January of 1999, Arly turned the reins over to his daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Dave Bertelsen. Our personal, “hands-on” experience in all aspects of the trucking industry give us a unique background to handle any problems that may crop up for our drivers or our customers.

Currently employing over 35 permanent personnel, with two full time mechanics, the company is presided over by Dave and Vicki Bertelsen (owners), with Farren Flynn (shop foreman), and Jodie Gould (dispatcher).

In 2006, we built our new shop/office complex, which is conveniently located near major truck stops and trucking service centers in Great Falls. With room to expand and grow, our new facility (with great views of the Rocky Mountain Front) allows us to ensure an efficient and safe trucking operation.

K&K Trucking, Inc. is certified as both a common carrier and contract carrier under operating authority MC #158699 and USDOT #1017710 within the United States, and for general commodities within four of the Western provinces of Canada.

As our business and reputation for dependable service has grown, we initiated the startup of K&K Logistics, Inc. Our third-party logistics business operates to assist our customers with their freight needs in excess of our trucking capacity.

Our longevity demonstrates our personal dedication to quality and dependable service, and promotes confidence in our long-term commitment to safe and efficient trucking. It is our belief that although we are not a large fleet, we can provide superior service on a continual basis.

Q How should I package my items?

When shipping goods, it’s always important to minimize movement. Pack crates or boxes as full
as possible, with heavier items on the bottom. If the crate is not filled, use packing material
to plug the empty spaces.

Q How are freight shipments tracked?

Freight service providers offer tracking services online to access a shipment’s status 24/7
from your computer or mobile device. You can track a shipment with a BOL number, but you can often
access the shipment’s location with the pro number, PO number, shipment reference number and shipment
number as well.
