ABOUT US
Ironwood Transport is a small veteran-owned expedited logistics business based in Lexington, KY. We offer dedicated hotshot trucking, transportation, and logistics, featuring safe and reliable services throughout central Kentucky and beyond. We also offer semi-truck hauling services. You can count on us for fast freight movement across the country. Our huge network of carrier partners means no destination is too far, no freight too large, and no timeline too tight.
24/7 Support & Customer Service
We operate around the clock so you can, too. We provide fast quotes, easy booking, guaranteed deliveries, and full documentation, plus order notification for your pickups and deliveries.
Hot Shot Trucking is your solution for smaller, time-sensitive loads that need to be delivered ASAP. You can call on Ironwood Transport LLC when you want the job done right and done quickly. We pride ourselves on service that is fast, reliable, and affordable.
Unlike expedited shipping, which has drivers on standby waiting for hauls, hot shot trucking pairs qualified drivers with your load as soon as it is ready to go. In an industry where time is money, speed is the name of the game. Hot shot truckers typically use smaller vehicles to deliver smaller loads. LTL (less than truckload) loads are generally delivered via hot shot trucking.
If you have a less than the truckload-sized amount of freight that needs to be delivered in a very specific time frame, you can benefit from hot shot delivery. If you have critical equipment or supplies, we can get those to where they need to be right on time. Your success is our success. Nobody wants to lose time or productivity because of an ill-timed delivery. So, we ensure that there is no lost time and no lost revenue.
Expedited freight is just one of today’s consumers’ many options to choose from when it comes to making purchases and shipping items. Customers expect fast, reliable shipping, and will give their business to whichever company can ship quickly for the best price. That’s where we come in. Our expedited freight services ensure your shipment will arrive safely, and more quickly than with regular transit.
In the simplest of terms, expedited freight means shipping freight more quickly than standard delivery times. If you are on a shortened time frame, choose expedited shipping to get your goods there without delay. Expedited shipping is the best option for times when there is lots of shipping activity like the Christmas season. During these times, shipping times take longer because of all the shipping activity.
Expedited Logistics
We don’t just haul your shipment, we ensure the route is optimized, and that the shipment will be received once it arrives. We handle any delays that may come up and coordinate our efforts with warehouse managers on the receiving end. We keep in close contact with you throughout the shipping process and provide confirmation once the freight has been successfully delivered. Many industries have expeditors, but they all have some things in common with a shipping expeditor. As a shipping expeditor, we have exceptional time management and problem-solving skills. Our team is highly organized and able to remain calm and think clearly even under stressful circumstances.
More Than Just Logistics
Ironwood Transport, located in Lexington, KY, is a veteran-owned expedited logistics company that provides fast, reliable, and safe freight movement throughout Kentucky and the entire continental US. Your cargo is precious to us, and so is your trust. Unlike too many of the other trucking companies out there, we’re here to help you above all else. We promise to treat you with honesty, integrity, and transparency in all our interactions. Trucking is our passion, and we will use our years of expertise to help you with everything from logistics to loading and delivery. We specialize in both over-the-road (or long-haul) and local trucking – we go everywhere!
Full truckload (TL) is generally best suited for those looking to move more than 15,000 pounds,
or enough to justify the entire use of a semi-trailer. If you’re looking to ship more than 150 pounds
of freight, but less than 15,000, less than truckload (LTL) might be the best choice. Getting items
quickly from one point to another may call for expedited shipping services. Intermodal shipping uses
multiple modes of transportation and is great for long distances between metro areas.
If you have goods that are sensitive to climate conditions (produce, flowers, chocolate, etc.), you
will want to consider temperature controlled shipping. Freight service providers will assist you
throughout the process.
