WHO IS MD LOGISTICS?
Customized Supply Chain Solutions Provider
Founded in 1996 by Mark Sell and Dave Kiebach, MD Logistics has quickly grown into one of the nation’s leading 3PL’s, headquartered in the Midwest. As an independent subsidiary of Nippon Express USA, we are able to provide our customers with end-to-end, customized supply chain solutions. From point of manufacturing to final mile delivery, we offer clients a turn-key, streamlined approach to supply chain management. Our distribution services aren’t just limited to the Midwest. In 2011 we expanded to the Reno, NV market and in 2022 we expanded to the Raleigh, NC market to better service our customers on the West and East Coasts, respectively. In 2020, the MD Logistics brand was acquired by Nippon Express USA. Having the ability to tap into a global freight forwarding and warehousing network with strategically located gateways and GDP facilities makes this partnership even stronger.

For over twenty years MD Logistics has focused on creating customized supply chain solutions that uphold the integrity and quality of our customer’s products and brand. It is our job to not only ensure that we are adding quality and efficiency to our customer’s supply chain, but that we are also creating the appropriate experience for their customers. Concentrating on two specific industry verticals, Life Science and Pharmaceuticals and Retail and Consumer Goods, has allowed us to be focused and specialized within the 3PL industry.

By design, our organizational structure is lean and dynamic. Notably, decisions are made rapidly and passionately to meet the complex customized supply chain solutions and logistics needs of our customers. Our ability to respond to these challenges is based on the fact that MD Logistics empowers management to make decisions in the best interest of the customer, while keeping ownership informed and involved. CALL CENTER SERVICES
As a part of our service offerings, MD Logistics customers are able to utilize a dedicated or shared call center. We tailor their call center experience to their specific needs, offering email, phone and fax support for order entry and customer service.

CUSTOMER WEB-PORTAL
MD Net is a web-based customer visibility portal developed internally that is integrated with our JDA/RedPrairie WMS. Customers are provided with a secure login that enables them to filter and view their receipts, inventory, and orders in real time. Shipment tracking information is also available on demand via MD Net. All reports are exportable for additional customized reporting.

FOREIGN TRADE ZONE SERVICES
We offer comprehensive foreign trade zone services allowing customers to defer duty and taxes, while their products are still moving through the supply chain. Goods may be transferred, duty free, between FTZ’s or even across the borders into Canada and Mexico. Additional benefits to utilizing FTZ services are; improved cash flow, risk mitigation, DC level staging of new product launches and immediate secured movement of in-bond shipments.

FREIGHT MANAGEMENT
From start to finish, our team is able to work as an extension of our customers’ distribution and fulfillment team, matching the right transportation services to the specific needs of each shipment. Our Freight management services include, but are not limited to; managing undeliverable shipments, shipment visibility via MD Net, customer claims management and carrier invoice auditing. GOOD DISTRIBUTION PRACTICES
We leverage the Nippon Express global freight forwarding network to transport our customers good across the globe. Within this network are strategically located GDP container freight stations which allows us to transport pharmaceutical products and medical devices on behalf of our customers.

PACKAGING SERVICES
MD Logistics Packaging Services provides customers with secondary packaging solutions. We are able to tailor our packaging service offerings to customer specific needs as they relate to branding and personalization, marking and promotions. This includes handwritten notes, point-of-purchase display builds, kitting and creating product bundles. PROJECT MANAGEMENT
MD Logistics employs a comprehensive project management methodology. Our project team includes executive sponsorship, operations management, distribution engineering, information technology and procurement. Partnering with our customers, we work to develop and manage a transparent project plan. Together, we meet regularly, based on a timeline, to evaluate and measure dates ensuring on- time delivery of the agreed upon supply chain solutions.

SYSTEMS INTEGRATION
Through business process integration, network visibility, WMS and TMS, we have the power and flexibility to meet the needs of our customers. As a 3PL provider, our experience and capability to support all industry standard messaging codes enables our IT department to seamlessly integrate our WMS with any customers’ ERP application.
