What is Full Truckload (FTL)?

Full Truckloads usually consist of shipments that normally weigh up to 45,000 pounds and take up to 53ft of trailer space. FTL’s shipments are generally origin (shipper) to consignee (destination) and are delivered on the same trailer that picked them up.
