PORTX provides time-specific, door to port, port to door, same day and next day export-import intermodal container delivery services.
Intermodal shipping involves the moving of freight in an intermodal container, using multiple modes of transportation (Truck, Rail and/or Ship), without any handling of the freight itself when changing modes.
In almost all cases, Intermodal service provides cost savings compared to long-distance truckload shipping. Include Intermodal in your shipping mix with us, and allow your company to take advantage of the cost efficiencies and the seamless door to door solutions.
Portx, Inc. began operations 2012 delivering containers to exporters and importers in New York & New Jersey area pulling and delivering containers out of NY & NJ ports to mostly northeast USA and other US points.
Peter Ulu, founder, began with the same positive attitude and can do spirit established fastest growing company in container transportation industry. Delivering more than 24,000 containers per year.

What do I do with my children on moving day?
If you have young children it is a good idea to do the move while they are in school or
daycare. You will be busy with the movers and it will be difficult for you to give your
child the attention he/she needs. It’s a much less stressful day for you if you children
are not home on moving day.
How long does it take to move?
This depends on many factors, such as the time of year, weather conditions, size of your
shipment, time required to load and unload, and the direction and distance your shipment
is traveling.
Because the furnishings of the average household will not fill a truck, it is often necessary
for two or more shipments to be loaded on the same truck. Each shipment is carefully
sectioned off from the others.
With the help of computer-assisted dispatching system, pickup and delivery dates
are scheduled according to the origins and destinations of individual shipments on the trucks,
as well as shipment weight.
