Where’d “2 Dudes Moving” Come From?
In the summer of 2010 the company founder, Andrew Carey, was finishing up his second semester of graduate school at the University of Kentucky and he needed to find a good summer job to help cover the cost of tuition. As most college students, Andrew had moved several times throughout his college career with the help of his parents’ truck and trailer, but he always wondered what he would do if they weren’t there to help. Instead of applying around town for a summer job, he decided to create his own job and borrowed his father’s cargo trailer and elicited the help of a friend who had a truck (a Bronco to be exact) and 2 Dudes & A Bronco was born.
We Outgrew The Bronco
Although the name still lives on, to meet the needs of our clients, we had to trade in the Bronco for larger trucks, change the name to 2 Dudes Moving and add a few more dudes. Since the beginning, Andrew has made it his goal to provide customers with a quality moving service at an affordable price. It is that principle that has allowed us to continue to satisfy clients across the Commonwealth since 2010.

Switching Offices?
If you need to move your office across town or across the hall the Dudes can help! Upgrading or doing repairs to your office? Let us help you customize a commercial moving plan so you can continue to conduct business during your renovation process.
Local (intrastate) moves are generally based on a per-hour cost for the personnel and
the number of vehicles that the mover provides (up to a certain distance, with longer
distances based on the weight of your shipment and the mileage it is transported) and the
level of liability that the mover will cover in the event of loss or damage is generally
less than would apply for an interstate move.
Once you have compiled a list of movers, inform them of the destination and timing of your
move. Ask them about the types of services they offer. Also ask them to explain their
estimates in detail and to give you a copy. If any company refuses to give you a written
estimate, you should eliminate them from consideration. Then carefully compare to see which
mover best suits your needs and budget.
The cost of your move will be based on the actual weight of your belongings and the distance
they are shipped, plus the amount of packing and other services that you require.
To help you anticipate the cost of your move, movers will give you an estimate of the price.
Be sure to get written estimates from at least 3 different movers so that you can compare
their services and prices.
