Whether local or long distance, moving is easier when you make the right choice of moving companies. At Mark the Mover our experienced professionals employ proven teamwork and rehearsed maneuvering procedures to avoid damage to furnishings, interior walls and flooring. An equally important part of a quality move is the way that unwieldy furniture pieces are prepared and loaded in the the truck. All of Mark the Mover’s trucks are equipped with plenty of premium moving blankets and shrink wrap, which we use to protect valuable furnishings and prevent damage to furniture finishes.
In addition to Commercial Moving Services, Mark the Mover also performs crating, palletizing, banding, and we use modular carts for commercial relocation scenarios. We have moved stores, restaurants, hair salons, offices, entire companies, railroad offices, dentists, bakeries, web hosting companies and doctors offices.
Mark the Mover’s two 20,000 square foot warehouses are secure, humidity controlled, located in Midtown Atlanta near the north end of the connector and also adjacent to I-20 near Charlie Brown Airport. Our household and office storage is full service, inventory controlled with no key to keep track of, no gate codes, just friendly warehouse employees.
Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, antiques, and stamp collections
can be included in your shipment, provided that you notify your local moving representative
of these items before packing and moving day. It is strongly recommended that you carry
irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make alternate arrangements for their
transport.
In the moving industry, items worth more than $100 per pound are considered to be articles
of "extraordinary value.” To be assured that a claim involving these articles is not limited
to minimal liability, complete and sign your mover's high-value inventory form.
Also, be sure to sign the "Extraordinary Value Article Declaration" box, if applicable, on
your Bill of Lading.
Each mover has a slightly different procedure to follow as it relates to high-value items.
Ask your relocation specialist to provide you with an explanation of their company's process.
This is a confusing (but important) task, so be sure that you clearly understand the rules
prior to load day.
All loose items must be packed in boxes to prevent loss or damage while moving. It is
recommended that you pack all items and leave the drawers empty.
