Dan Lawry, owner and president of Lawry Freight System, Inc. has the freight business in his blood. Founded in 1978 by his father Bill Lawry, Dan continues a 40-year legacy.
As a graduate of Suffield Academy in Connecticut and Fordham University in New York City, Dan began his logistics management career with Ryder Systems in 1993. Business opportunities within Ryder lead him to positions in the Midwest, Southeast, and eventually back home to New England where he joined the Lawry family business in 1999.
Dan oversaw operations for the company and its Landstar agency until 2006 when he purchased the business from his father. He continues to manage and lead the trucking, warehousing, brokerage, 3PL, and sales operations with great success.
Residing in Westfield with his wife Theresa and their four children, Dan has been a Board member for Jericho – the Bureau for Exceptional Children and Adults in Holyoke since 2002 and a lacrosse coach for the Westfield boys’ and girls’ programs since 2008.

There are different kinds of services you can expect from planning your move and packing your
belongings to transportation and unloading the items to your new home.
If you have some special requirements or you need some special services, get in touch with
your mover and discuss all the details.
Local (intrastate) moves are generally based on a per-hour cost for the personnel and
the number of vehicles that the mover provides (up to a certain distance, with longer
distances based on the weight of your shipment and the mileage it is transported) and the
level of liability that the mover will cover in the event of loss or damage is generally
less than would apply for an interstate move.
