Here at Washingtons Movers LLC, we want to change the standard of the whole industry

Hi, I’m Leland Washington, with Washington’s Movers LLC. I’ve been in the industry for nearly a decade and am here to raise the standard in the way moving is done; not only just in quality of work, but in customer service and standards that I feel should’ve been put in place years ago. I believe that moving people should be considered more than just a physical labor job and should be viewed more as a customer service industry. Here at Washingtons Movers, we realize that moving is one of the most stressful things that someone can go through, and want to raise the bar and make the whole experience easy and stress free on not only you the customer, but the employees as well, by setting them up with the tools they need to get the job done with no problems. I always guarantee that the lead on each one of my jobs has at least two years of experience. I always believed that that is what it takes for a mover to really understand what to do in any situation they are thrown in. We like to think of this job as not only an art form, but as a skilled labor industry, and we want to provide the best employees so we can say that we are skilled, and that we actually care.

We also understand there are a lot of moving companies out there, but we want you to know that we consider ourselves to be the best for a reason. We want you to know that we are fully insured and UTC registered. There are plenty of moving companies that are not legal, and we want to let you know that even if you don’t choose us, that we want to detour you from unregistered companies because of all of the horror stories that we hear from our customers. It might be cheaper and seem like a good deal, but if you value your possessions you should be warned that if something happens, they will not have the insurance to cover things. Also, if we are booked out, we will have a few companies that we can suggest out to you, we don’t want you going to the wrong place, and we definitely have a list of companies that aren’t just legal, but that we trust as well.

Residential Moving

We provide residential moving services for the Pudget Sound area and beyond. Our services include moving homes, apartments, goodwill drop offs, furniture delivery, specialty items (pianos, full size safes, artwork, etc.). We also specialize in elderly moves, divorce moves, and other moves that require a special touch to complete gracefully.

Packing Services

We also offer packing services for those that do not have the ability or time to get it done. We provide all materials needed, or can use the materials provided to us by you. We offer packs, unpacks, and organization services. We offer full inventorying for all items or not, depending on what you are looking for. We understand some people are willing to pay for more time for a little more organization, and some would rather save the money. Either way, your items will be packed up safely and protected for the move.

Office Moves

We provide moving of all business’ including disassembly of desk and larger items that wont be able to fit out without it. We also understand that certain items must be put into place first so that you can set up to get your business up and running again, and have no problem with such request.

Labor Only Services
Sometimes, you don’t need a truck for your moving experience. If all you require is a few good guys to help you out it comes at a discounted rate. We can help load your PODS, move a few things around the house, help get things out of the way for a remodel, or even just put a couple things in your pick-up truck for you to take to goodwill.

Q Should I have the mover come to my home to look at my goods?

You have the right to receive an estimate based on a physical (in-house) survey of your
shipment. Under the regulations, your mover must base your estimate (either binding,
non-binding, or not-to-exceed), on a physical survey of the household goods to be moved if
the goods are located with a 50-mile radius of your mover’s (or his agent’s) place of business.
You may elect to waive this requirement for a physical survey, but if you elect to do so,
you must sign a written waiver of your rights.

Q Is it a good idea to get an estimate over the phone or via the Internet?

In all likelihood, you will find that an on-site estimate based on a physical survey
of the items that you plan on moving will be more accurate than an estimate that you
provide to your mover over the telephone or the Internet. So, unless circumstances warrant
(normally due to the time constraints of a short-notice move or because you are only shipping
a few items) think carefully before you elect to waive the required physical survey
of your shipment.
