From our humble beginnings moving refrigeration equipment over 20 years ago, Move It has evolved into a business specializing in handling high-end designer furniture, fine art and antiques.

Move It is a full-service moving company, moving residences as well as commercial clients like interior designers and exclusive boutiques. It’s a local business built from the ground up, and run by responsible adults who are experienced, reliable and fully licensed and insured.

Move It cares about its clients who put their trust in them to handle their possessions, and works hard to meet its their goals. Whether it’s a move from an apartment into storage, a business moving across town or a 3-story row to a Victorian in Jersey, Move It will make sure the job is done right from start to finish.

When it comes to relocating your business, Move It can handle the task by using good planning, proper equipment and tons of experience. We pay attention to details by protecting floors, doors and corners. Electronics and confidential files are handled with special care. When a business conveys to us their own special needs, they can be sure that those needs will be met. You’ll find that for local business moves, there’s no one in the industry with a better track record than Move It.

Q Should I have the mover come to my home to look at my goods?

You have the right to receive an estimate based on a physical (in-house) survey of your
shipment. Under the regulations, your mover must base your estimate (either binding,
non-binding, or not-to-exceed), on a physical survey of the household goods to be moved if
the goods are located with a 50-mile radius of your mover’s (or his agent’s) place of business.
You may elect to waive this requirement for a physical survey, but if you elect to do so,
you must sign a written waiver of your rights.

Q Is it a good idea to get an estimate over the phone or via the Internet?

In all likelihood, you will find that an on-site estimate based on a physical survey
of the items that you plan on moving will be more accurate than an estimate that you
provide to your mover over the telephone or the Internet. So, unless circumstances warrant
(normally due to the time constraints of a short-notice move or because you are only shipping
a few items) think carefully before you elect to waive the required physical survey
of your shipment.
