Office Relocation
Moving your company’s offices is an enormous task. A task which requires extreme attention to planning, efficiency, and careful transfer of your office furnishings, equipment, files, and all other contents so that your start up at your new location is business as usual.
Business Moving
We at J.H. Bennett Moving & Storage, Inc. are committed to completing your move to your satisfaction by working with you and for you throughout the entire relocation process.
Our experienced staff knows the “Ins and Outs” of the moving business and are committed to using this knowledge to help your move proceed as smoothly as possible.
Our drivers and packers complete a United Van Lines certification program which insures competent, professional handling of your office furniture and equipment.
The specialized equipment we use insures that everything at your office can be handled properly and with such ease that every move is executed properly and efficiently.
Our additional services such as storage and a comprehensive records center offers valuable options which, when supplementing your relocation project, allow you to make your operation at its new location run smoother than ever.
Warehousing/Storage Facilities
J.H. Bennett can provide temporary storage for new furniture, modular units, office machines, and fixtures prior to the completion of your new location.
Our procedure is to receive shipments from “over-the-road” trucks, tag, inventory and inspect all items. Should any exception be noted, your office would be contacted for disposition. We act as your receiving agent.
Delivery to your new location can be made on an “as is” basis, or all items can be unpacked to eliminate packing material and debris. Often, depending on volume, we can coincide delivery with your set-up or assembly crews.
Appliances such as washers, dryers, and refrigerators must be disconnected, and the washer
must have a stabilizer installed. Again, your estimator can help you understand how these
items are properly serviced. All local moving companies have business relationships with
local service providers that handle this type of service, however full service moving
companies and national moving companies will also be able to provide all of the moving
services you require. Be sure you know who your mover will be using, as you will need to let
these people into your home to provide the service.
Local (intrastate) moves are generally based on a per-hour cost for the personnel and
the number of vehicles that the mover provides (up to a certain distance, with longer
distances based on the weight of your shipment and the mileage it is transported) and the
level of liability that the mover will cover in the event of loss or damage is generally
less than would apply for an interstate move.
