Our journey began in 1991 as Coastal Mini Storage, with a single facility located in Wilmington, NC, which we still own today. Our growth continued over the last three decades, as we acquired more existing facilities and then in 2003 began to build new facilities. Today, we have 13 locations under the Pinnacle Storage brand, located in North and South Carolina, and have 5 others scheduled to open by end of 2021.

As our footprint continued to grow and we opened facilities located off the coast, we also wanted to remove the outdated term ‘mini’ and in 2018 our name changed and our new brand, Pinnacle Storage, was born.

Our Leland, Socastee, Little River, West End, Wilmington 3rd Street, and Wilmington Scotts Hill locations have all opened under the Pinnacle Storage brand. The remainder of our locations were rebranded, all being completed by the end of 2018.

We pride ourselves on clean standards that are unparalleled in the storage industry. We are well lit, with well-appointed, gated grounds, security cameras, modern offices and a friendly, expert staff 7 days a week.

We have locations in Jacksonville, NC, Sneads Ferry, NC, Hampstead, NC, Wilmington, NC (4 locations), Leland, NC, Sunset Beach, NC, Little River, SC, Longs, SC, Myrtle Beach, SC and West End, NC.

In January 2021 we opened our 4th Wilmington, NC location and will also open 4 other locations in Morehead City, NC Hubert, NC Gastonia, NC, and Florence, SC by the end of 2021.

Q How do I get an estimate?

Once you have compiled a list of movers, inform them of the destination and timing of your
move. Ask them about the types of services they offer. Also ask them to explain their
estimates in detail and to give you a copy. If any company refuses to give you a written
estimate, you should eliminate them from consideration. Then carefully compare to see which
mover best suits your needs and budget.

The cost of your move will be based on the actual weight of your belongings and the distance
they are shipped, plus the amount of packing and other services that you require.
To help you anticipate the cost of your move, movers will give you an estimate of the price.
Be sure to get written estimates from at least 3 different movers so that you can compare
their services and prices.

Q Should I have the mover come to my home to look at my goods?

You have the right to receive an estimate based on a physical (in-house) survey of your
shipment. Under the regulations, your mover must base your estimate (either binding,
non-binding, or not-to-exceed), on a physical survey of the household goods to be moved if
the goods are located with a 50-mile radius of your mover’s (or his agent’s) place of business.
You may elect to waive this requirement for a physical survey, but if you elect to do so,
you must sign a written waiver of your rights.
