Residential Moves
The first step in the process is to call Personal Touch Movers for a free in-home estimate. Our sales team will walk through your home and work with you to customize your move to meet your family’s specific needs.
Moving into your new home should be an enjoyable, stress-free event. Personal Touch Movers can customize your move to meet a wide range of needs. Our moves include use of the trucks, a knowledgeable and experienced crew, and all the supplies needed to protect your home and its contents.
Entrance ways are covered and floor protection is applied in high-traffic areas. Doors and banisters are also covered with pads for extra protection. All furniture is padded before being placed in our trucks. We also shrink wrap all upholstery pieces.
Commercial Moves
Commercial moves present different challenges from residential moves. Planning, coordination, and attention to detail are key components to moving your business successfully. The key is to help minimize any disruption to your business.
The same care is taken as with Residential Moves; we take care of all furniture disassembling in your office and reassemble the furniture when the move is complete. We can also safely pack and move your computers to your new office location.
Long-Distance Moves
Personal Touch Movers offers moves within the state of North Carolina and anywhere within the United States. Unlike the major van lines, we offer expedited service, which means you get your furniture the day you want it, and not a two-week time frame.
For moves within North Carolina, we use the NC Utilities Commission Tariff and we have our own tariff for moves across state lines. In-home estimates are required for long-distance moves.
This depends on many factors, such as the time of year, weather conditions, size of your
shipment, time required to load and unload, and the direction and distance your shipment
is traveling.
Because the furnishings of the average household will not fill a truck, it is often necessary
for two or more shipments to be loaded on the same truck. Each shipment is carefully
sectioned off from the others.
With the help of computer-assisted dispatching system, pickup and delivery dates
are scheduled according to the origins and destinations of individual shipments on the trucks,
as well as shipment weight.
