We work directly with your company’s move coordinator and provide logistic support in planning and organizing your move. Best L.A. Movers specialists will work with you to solve important planning questions, establish a timetable for your move and develop a floor plan for your new facility.

PLANNING FOR YOUR NEW SPACE
Prior to the move, Best L.A. Movers will request a floor plan of your new facilities. Working together we will assign numeric or alpha names to different designated areas of your new facilities and we will use that floor plan as a basic guide for your move. We will provide you with special labels, which are color-coded and can be used in conjunction with your labels. Each item to be moved will be assigned a unique number and then we will indicate on the floor plan where you want that item moved. The labels are secure enough to stay in place
while in transit but will not damage the finish of your office furniture when they are pulled off at the end of the move.

WHAT IS A LOCAL RESIDENTIAL MOVE?
At Best L.A. Movers Moving and Storage, a local residential move is a move that takes place within a 56-mile radius and stays within the state of origin. Many factors determine the cost of a local move. Luckily, many of those factors are within your control. For example, how ready are you when the movers arrive? Are all of your belongings packed in boxes?

Can the moving truck park close to your home? Do you have any extremely heavy items to move? Are there any disassembly or reassembly services that will be required to safely move your belongings? How much packing, unpacking and furniture placement would you like the movers to do for you?

The more information you provide us prior to your move date, the better your chances are of having a smooth move within your budget. Best L.A. Movers is a full-service moving and storage company. You can walk out the door, leave the breakfast dishes on the table and we can take it from there. Or, you can have all of your belongings packed in boxes and stacked by your front door and we can simply load them on the truck for you and unload them in your new home. Based on all of the above information, we can determine the right number of movers to get the job done just the way you want it.

HOW FULL SERVICE STORAGE WORKS
First, we must ensure that each piece of furniture and your belongings are packed and protected properly. If you are packing the boxes yourself please see our packing page for more information on properly packing your items. Trained movers will wrap every piece of furniture with thick cloth moving pads. The next step is preparing a detailed inventory list of each and every item including the description and condition at the time of pick up. You will be required to sign and retain a copy of this inventory list. Our professional movers will then safely load your items onto one of our trucks where they will be driven to our fully secure, clean and climate controlled storage facility. Finally, your shipment will be unloaded directly into vaults, sealed and placed in our warehouse until you are ready for delivery.

Q How is the cost of my shipment calculated?

If you are moving to a different state, the charges will be based on the weight of your
shipment and mileage—these are referred to as the transportation charges.
There are a variety of different moving charges that can potentially appear on your estimate,
so be sure to ask your relocation specialist to explain each charge for you.
Some additional charges that may appear include packing, crating, valuation or coverage,
bulky article charge (for oversized items), and extra labor. Again, please be certain you
fully understand these charges so that you can accurately compare the estimates you receive.

Q What is an order for service?

All movers are required to prepare an order for service before they transport your shipment.
The order for service provides you with written confirmation of the moving services that you
requested to be performed in conjunction with your shipment. It also lists the agreed upon
dates for the pickup and delivery of your shipment and amount of valuation that you requested,
along with any special services that you ordered.
It also features a place and telephone number where the mover can contact you during the move.

Additionally, the order for service shows the charges that you will be assessed for your
household move or corporate relocation. If you are moving under a non-binding estimate,
the order for service will indicate the amount of the estimated non-binding charges,
the method of payment for the charges and, in cases where the actual charges exceed the
non-binding estimate, the maximum amount that you are required to pay at the time of delivery
in order to obtain possession of your shipment (you will have 30 days following delivery to
pay the balance of the charges due). If you are moving under a binding estimate,
the order for service will show the charges that you will be required to pay at delivery,
based on the binding estimate and the terms of payment. You and your mover must sign the
order for service.
